Result: 2-6 6-1 1-6 · Salazar / Calvo vs Josemaria / Sanchez | Barcelona Finals

1Target Calvo’s side with repeated deep lobs and heavy cross-court pressure to force overheads from uncomfortable positions, then punish the first short ball (Sánchez/Josemaría’s pattern to break pairs with a weaker/less-settled defender).

2Salazar/Calvo must slow the match: prioritize high-percentage first volleys, avoid rushed counter-smashes, and use chiquitas to Sánchez to stop her from building tempo—otherwise the Sánchez/Josemaría transition game snowballs quickly.

3Manage physical/tempo swings: extend points selectively (especially on Calvo’s service games) and protect Salazar from long defensive sprints by keeping the ball central and low; if rallies become consistently fast and lateral, Sánchez/Josemaría’s consistency edge decides it.
